What the experience is like
The tour Machu Picchu 2 days with Sacred Valley combines in a single trip the Sacred Valley VIP, the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes, a hotel night and a guided visit to Machu Picchu the next day.
The most comfortable and complete way to see Machu Picchu. On the first day you tour the Sacred Valley —Chinchero, Moray, the Maras Salt Mines and Ollantaytambo— and take the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes, where you sleep in a hotel. On the second day you go up early to Machu Picchu, with fewer people, for a guided visit of the citadel.
No long hikes: we take care of the trains, tickets, hotel and transfers.

Sacred Valley and train to Aguas Calientes
We visit Chinchero, Moray, the Maras Salt Mines and, after a buffet lunch in Urubamba, Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon we take the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes (1 h 30), dinner and a night at the hotel.

Machu Picchu
We go up by bus first thing for a 2 h 30 guided visit of the citadel. Free time in Aguas Calientes, return train to Ollantaytambo and transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

Before you go
How far in advance should I book?
At least 10 days ahead, because we buy Machu Picchu tickets and trains in your name and availability is limited. From May to October we recommend booking one or two months ahead.
Can I climb Huayna Picchu?
Yes, as a supplement and subject to availability. Tell us when you book so we can reserve the spot together with your ticket.
How much luggage can I take on the train?
Trains allow one bag or backpack of up to 5 kg per person. You can leave your suitcase at your hotel in Cusco and take only what you need for one night.
